After fitting mounting slider slightly fiddled with packing loops so that they leaned too much, and also not interfere with the free movement of the head. Had some trouble, because this is not only the head connectors are different, but the form of loops, too.
Verifying the new laser head
Collect player to the extent that it was open and could still read and play DVDs, I put the disc that includes a "patient" and ... The disc is read, the screen displays the total time. Success! Turn to play - the disc is spinning, seconds counted! Perfect! Turn on the headset and hear the music, but with frequent gaps, like disk killed, although the disc is normal, try on another drive - the same thing - it is impossible to listen to.
Continued troubleshooting
This device uses a lot of old electrolytic capacitors, which, as I found out, for 5-6 years may well dry, use the player is active, and it was around the age of 21 years. So, in full confidence that the capacitors are dry, and if more work is certainly not as they should, it was decided to replace them. Rewrote their options, purchased new and all rewired. First photo of the old capacitors, then the new (click on them to enlarge):
Since the middle of the disc closer to the (first and second songs) play was bad, next (fifth and sixth songs) - awful, well, closer to the edge of the last track, it will not play, it occurred to me that the blame for the engine, for more than 20 years bearing came loose and he can not keep the disk in the same plane, and it is the eye could see.
Once the engine is to blame, it would be nice and change it. The simple solution that I will describe below were not so easy to come up with. I searched the Internet the same engine, then something is not quite analogous, went in search of a new CD-player to take out the motor. But finally, and thought of the ad found two not so new player for 50 rubles. They work or not - I do not remember, but the motor with mandrel approached me. Measure the resistance of the old engine, the new measured, both the order of 25 ohms. Like the new was a little higher, but that's okay. Transplanted motor, when you play a special set up speed resistor on the board player. Incidentally the same resistor adjusts the movement and a new head. And after all this is the player has correctly read discs, playback quality and without failure.
After successful completion of the main technical part repair replace left output jacks, for the old collapsed, and a slot for the power supply, which does not. All these details I got from the two players, which he bought for $ 100. Not everything is perfect has come, but to finish a little, everything fell right. Just lacked a contact card from the battery compartment. I've done it myself on the model form of the second board, soldered to it contact metal plates from the old battery compartments of the same players.
Repair is completed, the player continues to please its owner!
